Free game for catching and training Pokemon

Pokemon Rojo Fuego is the extremely popular remake of one of the most beloved role-playing games of all time. It starts off in Pallet Town, where the player heads towards Route 1 and gets stopped by Professor Oak—bringing them to his laboratory and meeting their rival. Both trainers are then asked to choose between Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

Like Pokemon Leaf Green, you get to travel all over the Kanto region—catching Pokemon, battling Gym Leaders, and many more. Pokemon Rojo Fuego boasts a handy Resume feature to help you remember the things you did in your previous session.

Embark on a journey of a lifetime

Whether you’re an old or new Pokemon fan, Pokémon Rojo Fuego—despite being released way back in 2004—is a classic gem of a Pokemon game. Unlike its Generation I predecessor, Pokemon Red, you can play as a female Pokemon trainer—which is a great step up. Moreover, it features a Help System that contains everything you need to know about the game—from basic terminologies to winning a Pokemon battle, perfect for newbies.

The Key Item Vs. Seeker is used for engaging in rematches against other trainers, allowing you to strengthen your Pokemon before a big fight. When activated, trainers who want a rematch are indicated by two exclamation marks on top of their heads. They jump up and down, too. On the other hand, a white cross in a speech balloon appears if they don’t want to battle you at the moment. Unfortunately, you can’t use the Vs. Seeker to rematch trainers in certain locations like caves and indoor areas.

Its post-game content is something to look forward to. After defeating the Champion and obtaining the National Pokedex, you can go back and explore the rest of the Sevii Islands—an archipelago in the Kanto region. The nefarious Team Rocket will also make a comeback. If you complete the Sevii Islands quest, you can challenge the Elite Four and Champion again. Their rosters are stronger and include Pokemon from Generation II, making battles more challenging and satisfying.

Be the best Pokemon master

In this remake, you can now choose to play as a female Pokemon trainer—which is a significant improvement. Players are also free to challenge other players for a rematch using the Vs. Seeker, though it doesn’t work indoors and in other areas like caves. Overall, Pokemon Rojo Fuego truly stands the test of time, and it is a must-play whether you’re a new or old Pokemon fan.
